Project Description
Wellness includes Spiritual, Emotional, Physical, Social, and Intellectual well-being.
Well-being is the condition of living consciously and fully, and begins with the decision to live each day actively and productively. We believe in aging successfully. Research shows that healthy aging includes keeping the mind active and stimulated.
Silver Oaks offers the following opportunities designed to promote wellness of the body, with integration of the mind and spirit:
Assessment to determine needs for all dimensions of wellness.
Fall risk assessment and baseline readiness.
Individual exercise programming with periodic reassessment.
Ongoing program of musical and visual arts activities.
Meditation and reflection time in our lovely backyard.

OUR RESIDENTS SAY
We look to our residents for help in defining “wellness”. We have found that seniors place a heavy emphasis on self-determination. Our residents do not want to sacrifice their freedom. They want to expand it. They want to make their own choices.
“The care is wonderful for my mother…30 minutes a day is good for her wellness!”
“I try to participate at least three days a week. The facility is a blessing.”
“The meditation class is very relaxing for my soul. I look forward to going.”
